Giving back to the community in which we live and work is an honor. Our team at Compass Financial Partners feels strongly about donating time, treasure and talent... whether volunteer work, board leadership or financial support of causes important to enrich our community. We’re active in the following organizations:
Advocate Condell Hospital: Our team donated 100 Lunches and 100 dinners to feed COVID Front Line Workers at the hospital.
Alex’s Lemonade Stand: ALSF is changing the lives of children with cancer by funding impactful research, raising awareness, supporting families and empowering everyone to help cure childhood cancer. Our team raises funds and donates time to advance this important work.
Bernie’s Book Bank: We support and make donations to Bernie’s Book Bank which distributes quality new and gently used children’s books to under-served infants, toddlers and school-age children throughout Chicagoland.
Blessings in a Backpack: Our team makes a donation and volunteers at our local Chicago chapter to provide food on the weekends for elementary school children who might otherwise go without.
Community Church of Lake Forest and Lake Bluff: Tim and his family have been part of the Community Church for more than 14 years and he serves on the church's finance committee.
Gorton Community Center: Gorton has been a gathering place in the heart of Lake Forest since 1972. Their mission is to enrich the lives of residents through cultural arts, education and charitable service. Tim serves as a board member and is currently head of development. He has been the board treasurer and board chairman in the past.
Lake Forest Caucus: Founded in 1935, the Caucus Committee is a group of volunteers recruiting volunteers to serve the City of Lake Forest. Tim has served on the Committee to help recruit candidates for mayor, alderman, two school boards, and 22 Boards and Commissions.
Northern Illinois Food Bank Compass Financial Partners donated over $10,000 in 2020 to help this Feeding America affiliate continue to provide nutritious food to more than half a million people each year in Northern Illinois.
Placing Paws Rescue of Illinois: This foster-based dog and cat rescue in Northern Illinois is dedicated to promoting the well-being and adoption of animals. Erin started fostering in 2013 and now plays an active role processing and screening applications, and coordinating community/special events and fundraisers.
Skokie Flyers Hockey Club of the Skokie Amateur Hockey Association is committed to the ongoing development and promotion of competitive youth amateur hockey. Nick volunteers over 100 hours per year as an assistant coach at the U12 level, skills instructor and private lessons.
SMILES Therapeutic Riding: Brendan is an active supporter of SMILES – Therapeutic Riding. Since 2017, he has been involved with SMILES charitable events such as Golf Outings, Horse Shows, and 5k runs.
Project Athena Foundation: Focused on helping individuals with medical or other traumatic setbacks achieve their adventurous dreams, Project Athena provides travel expenses, coaching, equipment and encouragement to help women and men transition from Survivor to Athlete. As a supporter and fundraiser, Erin has completed three Florida Keys to Recovery Adventures - a 3-day, 120-mile trek biking and kayaking alongside men and women making their medical comeback.
